The Food Pantry is physically located roughly in the center of the county in Seneca, South Carolina. Recipients come from all over the county, principally from the three major cities of Seneca, Walhalla, and Westminster. In 2006 the Food Pantry provided supplemental food to about 500 families per month. Now we serve over 1150 families per month, providing about a million pounds of food yearly. The increase is due to the growing need in Oconee County and to a decision to introduce a program specifically for needy seniors. All distribution is based on verified need, tied to federal poverty guidelines.
The Food Pantry works closely with local churches, civic organizations and other charities in the County to identify and include needy families. It was incorporated in 1983 (under the title "Golden Corner Ministries") in the state of South Carolina as a Tax Exempt Corporation under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

THANKS TO BOUNTYLAND FOOD SERVICE FOR THEIR DONATION
Bountyland President David Land, chief fundraiser Trent Cain, along with Justin, Randy and Jack delivered over 70 boxes of food (over 1500 lbs) to the Golden Corner Food Pantry recently. On behalf of our clients, who count on the generosity of Oconee County residents to help them through difficult times, our heartfelt THANKS go to all the wonderful folks at Bountyland Enterprises (and H.
